IT WOULD APPEAR THAT THE AMOUNT OF INFORMATION ON CONTEMPORARY COMPOSERS AND SONGWRITERS WHOSE WORK IS INFLUENCED OR INSPIRED BY THEIR OWN EPILEPSY IS RATHER SMALL.  WHILST THERE ARE PAPERS SUGGESTING THAT CERTAIN CLASSICAL COMPOSERS HAD EPILEPSY, THE MODERN DAY EQUIVALENT APPEARS TO BE MUCH MORE DIFFICULT TO COME ACROSS. THIS COULD PERHAPS BE THAT EPILEPSY STILL IS, IN SOME CIRCLES, A VERY MISUNDERSTOOD AND STIGMATISED CONDITION.  I FEEL SURE THAT WITH IT EFFECTING OVER 3 MILLION PEOPLE IN THE U.S. , AND AROUND HALF A MILLION PEOPLE IN THE U.K., THERE MUST BE SOME COMPOSERS AND SONGWRITERS WITHIN THOSE PEOPLE.
